La Opinión Calls on Its Readers to Vote For Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara For Re-election

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Ricardo Lara for Insurance Commissioner Campaign is proud to announce an endorsement from La Opinión, the largest Spanish-language newspaper in the United States and the second-most read newspaper in Los Angeles.

Lara is an unequivocal supporter of immigrant rights. He is the son of a Fresno farm laborer who spent years doing backbreaking work in the fields to ensure a better life for their family. He is also the first LGBTQ person elected to statewide office ever in California history and the first Latino Insurance Commissioner.

La Opinión joins United Farm Workers of America, the California Democratic Party, and an extensive coalition of activists, organizations, and Democratic leaders from across the state supporting the Insurance Commissioner’s re-election campaign.
